Responsibilities:

  • Assuring 24/7 uptime for all critical broadcast systems (TV & Radio) both directly or indirectly by coordinating and managing the market chief engineers.

Position: Payroll Clerk

Requirements:

Position: Digital Sales Planner

Job Description:

The Digital Sales Planner will lead all interactive advertising operations across all of SBS digital properties, including websites and mobile apps. He/She will be responsible for managing online digital campaign inventory, internal and external reporting, campaign optimization, and implementation of proprietary and 3rd party tags. He/she will also lead ad ops client service needs and manage and train an Ad Ops Coordinator. Position is based in Miami, FL.

Position Title: Broadcast IT Engineer

Spanish Broadcasting System – New York has a rare opportunity for a broadcast IT specialist to work in fast paced, very progressive multimedia facility. The position requires a computer expert who works well under pressure, adapts quickly to multiple changes at a moment’s notice, has the ability to multi-task efficiently, demonstrates leadership and organizational skills, and wants to be a respected member of a team that’s one of the best in the business.

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the SBS New York IT Infrastructure within the parameters specified by corporate MIS and local engineering.
  • Recommend, install, maintain, and repair equipment necessary for the operation of the broadcast and multimedia production facilities.  This equipment shall include, but is not limited to: desktop computers, file servers, Wide Orbit Automation and Traffic systems, streaming audio systems, Mac based ProTools HD audio and Adobes CC multimedia production workstations, and related infrastructure such as switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Act as a local administrator and analyst of the facility, including Active Directory, e-mail, storage, and application servers.  Fulfill role as a primary contact for IT disaster recovery, and local SOX compliance.
  • Document all equipment, wiring, and technical systems using software, as well as manual drafting.
  • Oversee local PBX administration, and deployment of hardware as needed.
  • Support all end users of hardware and software in a broadcast station environment.
  • Assist in planning and development of all aspects of broadcast station technical facilities, including studios, transmission, telephone systems, STL systems, vehicles, computer workstations, and Ethernet or wireless networks.
  • Perform local IT systems troubleshooting, desktop support, networking, printer and copier setups, and business applications installations.
  • Assist in instruction to non-technical colleagues on proper use of technical and computing equipment.

Position Title: Chief Engineer

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain the WLEY- FM radio station within the parameters specified by the FCC rules. Will also maintain all records required by the FCC including the station log, maintenance logs, and other logs required by SBS.
• Assume the responsibilities of the station(s) chief operator in accordance with FCC rule 73.1870.
• Maintain, repair, recommend, and install equipment necessary for the operation of the stations. This equipment shall include, but is not limited to: Studio Equipment, Transmitter Equipment, Telephone System, Computers, STL Equipment, Wide Orbit Automation for Radio equipment.
• Document equipment and wiring systems, using software as well as manual drafting.
• Assist in planning and development of all aspects of radio station technical facilities, including studios, transmitters, telephone systems, STL systems, vehicles, computers and networks.
• Support station on-site and field operations during major events.
• Assist in teaching proper use of technical equipment and compliance with FCC Rules and company policies.
• Perform local IT systems troubleshooting, desktop support, networking, printer and copier setups, and business applications installations.
• Primary contact for disaster recovery
• On Call 24/7 for emergencies.
• Assist with general building maintenance
• Maintain an accurate inventory of the equipment at the station, transmitter sites, and remote vehicles

SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED:
• Working knowledge of FM Stereo Systems and Transmission
• Working knowledge of various O.S. platforms
• Working knowledge of LAN networking technologies
• Team player with good interpersonal skills, and willingness to assist others
• Must be self-motivated and organized with a desire to learn new skills as needed
• Good organizational skills with attention to documentation accuracy and detail
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in system design

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in radio broadcast facilities or a related field preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with radio studio systems, automation, FM transmitters, desktop PC’s, Servers, routers.
• SBE Certification desirable

REPORTS TO:  Local Sales Manager

Job Description:               
Successful Account Executive will cold call, make and attend appointments with the objective of closing sales. This position offers unlimited earning potential for the right self-motivated / highly driven individual. Candidate will be responsible for selling commercial airtime, event sponsorships, and marketing campaigns entailing research, promotions, copywriting, servicing, and new business development.

Requirements:
• An associate's degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in Media Sales or in a related area with a high volume of sales.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create advertising proposals and marketing presentations  
• Ample knowledge of radio broadcast sales tools, such as Nielsen’s Arbitron rating numbers, Maximiser, Wide Orbit, and Nielsen Answers, including the use of formulas in sales proposals and presentations.

Responsibilities:
• Maintains relationships and favorable contacts on a regular basis with current and potential advertising accounts.
• Prospects potential advertisers and develops sales strategies to acquire new business.
• Services and maintains existing accounts. 
• Familiar with standard sales concepts, practices, and procedures within the sales field.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan their sales strategy to meet assigned budgets.
• Performs a variety of tasks, such as filing, copying and printing, scanning, using the fax, using computer terminal, typewriter, and other word processors, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
• Responsible for completing and submitting fully executed Sales contracts on a timely basis to the Local Sales Manager, with all authorized signatures and corresponding approved insertion orders from advertisers.  Assures data within insertion order agrees to that of the sales contract.
• Reviews contract confirmations and confirms that the account has been created/input correctly as contracted, and that changes in client data or advertising schedule changes have been updated in the Wide Orbit system. 
• Provides copies of production orders on a timely basis to Copywriting/ Production and Continuity.
• Ensures that, when necessary, any spots that need to be “made good” are followed up on accordingly and approved by the clients.
• Reviews the “Contract Verification Report” listing all bumped spots and assures each advertiser is being followed up with, so that revenues are not lost.
• Monitors the market stations to keep informed on what advertisers are active in the market place and targets those accounts as potential advertisers. 
• Works under the general supervision of the Local Sales Manager.

We are  MEGA TV, Channel 55 a major Spanish-Language TV station in Houston, and we are looking for great sales professionals to joint our Houston Team.  We are interested in have contact  with you.  If you have the necessary skills with clients directly and help them solve their marketing and sales problems.
We  are looking for experienced sales professionals to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients.  Responsibilities include soliciting new business through prospecting and cold calling. Managing and growing existing assigned accounts, identifying clients advertising  needs and developing and presenting customized solutions to meet those needs.  Account executives also help accountable for achieving sales budgets and collecting on the accounts.
Minimum requirements: The successful candidates must possess excellent communications, presentation and negotiation skills. They must be self- motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.  The right candidate must have:

  • High School graduate;  college preferred,
  • Prior experience in sales/ marketing; previous television or advertising sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Must also have basic  knowledge of MS office products, i.e., MS Word and Windows environment.
  • Must have  a valid driver’s license, good driving record and insurance.
