Position Title: Manager of Affiliate Relations

MegaTV is seeking a Manager of Affiliate Relations who is well familiarized with television stations and their business. Position will report to the Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of television sales and/or affiliation experience with a heavy emphasis on partner negotiations and strategic analysis. The Manager of Affiliate Relations will identify and manage strategic initiatives across primarily television stations and groups.  These initiatives will provide new sources of revenues for MegaTV through the development of advertising inventory in exchange for MegaTV programming and services. The Manager of Affiliate Relations will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to our MegaTV affiliate’s including working with finance, legal and technical teams to ensure that the highest level of service and support are provided by MegaTV.

This role will involve creating barter relationship development, sourcing partners, developing a strong understanding of partner strategy, assisting in negotiating agreements to completion, managing internal process, and maintaining ongoing relationships between MegaTV and affiliates.

Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining affiliate relationships for MegaTV in support of the advertising sales force.

  • Assisting with developing sales strategies, and advertising financial plans.
  • Assist in building financial reports and models for projections and budgets with support from the finance department
  • Creating distribution and team rights maps for use in all regions and by our executive team
  • Provide business input to the product marketing/management teams to create products that support customer needs.
  • Work with sales management to create needs analysis for determining estimated returns specific to market opportunity.
  • Provide strategic leadership and required support to sales
  • Maintain and file affiliates executed contracts, historical files and update affiliate database
  • Prepare sales-related materials throughout the sales process, promote awareness of MegaTV brand image internally and externally, gather materials and assemble affiliate sales packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, programming one-sheeters, etc).  
  • Building consistent and cohesive sales presentations and materials across regions
  • Answer affiliate questions about MegaTV (e.g., programming, event dates and schedules, marketing materials, promotions and entertainment/special events) 
  • Serve as the MegaTV department point-of-contact and communicate by phone and email to respond to questions and requests 
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with affiliates and support team to reach common goals. 
  • Work with Legal Department to record and track distribution agreements and FCC requirements
  • Assisting in the management of master control activities (launches, deauthorizations, switching groups, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounts
  • Track industry and competitive information and analysis
  • Ensure distributor communications and websites are accurate and up to date
  • Act as a catalyst for internal team communication and project deliverables
  • Maintain key contact and client lists for affiliates
  • Other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree required.  An advanced degree, preferably with a business (MBA or equivalent) concentration is preferred
  • 5-7 years sales management or business development experience in radio, television, and/or interactive advertising and marketing sales management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong process orientation and execution skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong follow-up and time management skills
  • Excellent judgment, reasoning, and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute under time constraints

  • Extensive knowledge of online, broadcast radio and TV business models

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside MegaTV
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
  • Experience with database management and basic proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent multi-lingual verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
  • Exhibit high energy and willingness to pitch in and help the larger team accomplish goals/work assignments
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Prior experience working in a high-growth company preferred

The Customer Care/Telemarketing Representative is a new non-exempt role within the Company and this individual’s primary goal will be to promote the growth of the Tu Fama and IMR sales department. This position will involve out-bound calls and will be responsible for maintaining new supply and service sales as well as the follow-up and retention of current customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Aggressively pursue the sales of the Tu Fama and IMR platform
  • Help grow and expand the Tu Fama and IMR platform
  • Review, evaluate and ensure proposals are complete
  • Maintain a daily activity database of customer interaction
  • Be proficient in the details and knowledge of specific products
