Digital Coordinator

Position Summary

The Digital Coordinator will help moderate and inspire promotional communications via company specific Internet-based applications to encourage the exchange of user-generated content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for keeping ( & up to date with the latest news stories and station promotions.
  • Responsible for keeping station social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram, etc.) up to date with the latest news stories and station promotions.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound requests on online station digital properties (ie: SBS Twitter page) and the web at large.
  • Responsible for uploading and creating promotion recaps of all station activities.
  • Author blog posts, articles, web stream, (or relevant media) to creatively communicate product uses per SBS philosophies.
  • Monitor radio station media channels on a daily basis or as needed for content issues.
  • Participate in sales, programming, and promotions meetings to properly strategize web and social presence.
  • Responsible for all client requests are met and well represented on SBS websites and social media.
  • Responsible for the capture of content from station events and promotions to make sure it is well represented in station websites and social media.
  • Responsible for the capture of listener winner promos and placing them on station websites.
  • Responsible for the growth of SBS websites and social media presence. Make sure that all campaigns that are current and not being counterproductive against the growth of database.
  • Responsible for weekly email blasts and SMS texting that promotes station activities, client events, and current contests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by SBS Los Angeles Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish required).
  • Understands social media universe including Facebook, YouTube, Foursquare Bookmarking sites (such as Stumble Upon, Delicious, Digg, and Reddit), Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc.
  • Possesses strong computer/internet skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability to create editorial and technical writing output quickly.
  • Understands the power of feed marketing (i.e. RSS).
  • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media.
  • Demonstrated ability to map out a marketing strategy and then drive that strategy.
  • Experience sourcing, managing content development, publishing, photography, videography, editing, and social media reporting and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of adobe, photoshop, lightroom, premiere pro, and google analytics.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously both internal and external-in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user generated content.
  • Understands what it means to shoulder the communication of a brand.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
  • Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of market trends.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions to perform this job successfully.

Physical Requirements

Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
