Position Summary
Spanish Broadcasting System is seeking a Facilities Engineering Technician to support the maintenance and operation our broadcast and transmission systems. The role is essential for ensuring our technical infrastructure operates efficiently and reliably.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on broadcast equipment and transmission systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting studio and transmission operations.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards
Essential duties and responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in broadcast engineering or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of RF systems, audio/video equipment, and broadcasting technologies
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred
