Social Media Coordinator

Position Overview

The Social Media Coordinator understands how to boost awareness and engagement in the online community, and should be knowledgeable about pop culture and (specifically) Latin music and celebrities. This individual should be an experienced marketing professional who can create compelling, impactful messaging and content that engages consumers. This individual should have deep knowledge of best practices across all social and digital platforms. Must be able to manage multiple sales and company campaigns and/or marketing initiatives across multiple social media platforms; analyzing and implementing changes throughout to optimize the campaign(s).

  • Develop, execute, track, and analyze posts and campaigns across multiple social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Monitor and respond to user conversations across social media channels (Manage and support social media postings with timely and thoughtful responses to comments.)
  • Support social media campaigns such as client-specific marketing initiatives, giveaways and contests
  • Manage paid social media campaigns
  • Partner with Social Media Strategy Manager to develop and execute a social media strategy and content calendar for all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Work cross functionally with digital, programming, and sales teams to develop content, targeted campaigns, and ensure a consistent user experience
  • Identify and manage relationships with social media influencers, talent and clients
  • Monitor and analyze performance to prepare weekly reports and recommendations
  • Pitch creative ideas to drive audience growth and increase engagement across platforms
  • Creative thinking to meet the challenges of the ever changing digital landscape (regulations)
  • Works with tech team to generate content for websites.
  • Creates weekly newsletter
  • Gather content and represent company at events, industry associations and social functions (includes some weekends)
  • Execute client-specific digital recaps


  • Experience with graphic design (including Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Well versed in social media tools and best practices (Hootsuite, Sprout, Simply Measured, etc.)
  • Up-to-Date on the current Social Media policies and guidelines
  • Experience managing multiple brands across multiple social media platforms
  • Keen design taste/aesthetic with an understanding of brand nuances
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and incorporate critiques and feedback
  • Knowledge and experience with web content management systems (WordPress, Wyng, etc.)
  • Mailchimp or other mass emailing program
  • Strong creative writing skills, including full understanding of hashtag best practices and strategies
  • Interest in marketing with a desire to learn, grow, and thrive in a fast-pace digital environment

Desired Skills and Pluses

  • Photography experience a plus
  • Experience with adobe creative suite (including video editing skills) a plus
  • Network / Media background preferred
  • Latin Music knowledge preferred

Required Education

  • Bachelor Degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in marketing, social media or digital media

Required Language

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
