Position Summary
The Accounting Manager & Financial Planner is responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports and overseeing a company’s accounting operations. Assist in managing general accounting functions while maintaining current processes to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial reports, compliance certificates and presentations.
- Participate and compile annual budgets, projections and cash forecasts.
- Analyze financial and operational performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.
- Analyze market’s trade contracts.
- Assist in streamlining and enhancing financial reporting capabilities.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested.
- Review and analysis of financial statements and key metrics for assigned areas.
- Prepare and review of various month-end closing schedules.
- Assist CFO in various functions.
- Review and calculate Quarterly Bonus for Sales Managers and Account Executives.
- Review and calculate payroll information (including commissions calculations) before transmission to ADP.
- Review monthly financial results.
- Research trade receivables for usage and compile information from clients to adjust receivables.
- Review bills and purchase orders listed on stations’ Accounts Payable batches.
- Interact with external auditors and provide documentation as necessary.
- Help design and implement internal controls over accounting processes.
Essential duties and responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May lead projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 4 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel.
- Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- Familiarity with accounting software and programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Advance proficient with Oracle.
- Bilingual helpful, but not required.
